Our Story

Three Hares Apothecary, first and foremost, was born from curiosity. Curiosity of the ever apparent chemical & paraben-infused cosmetic empire, curiosity of the effects of that on our largest organ- our skin, curiosity of the possibility of formulations that could mimic the same success, naturally, without long-term effects, and curiosity of what helping others while "going against the grain" looked like. 

While most of my childhood was intensified by embarrassment from being "the gal with blotchy, red and dry skin", my passion for skincare was (later in life) fueled by the immediate need to make sure others didn't go through the same. Over the past year, I dove deep into holistic approaches that completely cut out any toxic middleman and started my journey of mapping out (what was at the time) a slight dream. 

At the beginning of 2023, my mother was diagnosed with Lupus- one of the side effects being incredibly dry and cracked heels. The testing began here, in our very own kitchen, in an attempt to relieve the pain of the fissures. Paying close attention, I researched the cleanest of the cleanest ingredients and started my journey into formulating my own skincare, too. 

The older I get, the more it rings true of how your skin is, really, just another proposition of putting "your best foot forward". AKA showing up for yourself.

Who knew that curiosity, in fact, restored the cat.
